Tron 2

Saw Tron Legacy last night.  Having never seen a 3D movie I went to the whole thing skeptical and optimistic.  It is worth seeing on many levels.  Love the original and it being a ground breaking film for the time you don't really need to have seen it to jump into the new adventure.  The story of the new film drags you in right away. Once the effects and aesthetic really kick in I was mesmerized.  Daft Punk did the score and although my favorite music website pitforkmedia panned the score when you watch the movie you have little to no doubt that Disney picked the right duo for the job.  Plus their awesome cameo made my day.  I have little to criticize other than elements that left obvious room for another movie.  For me the 3D aspect was a bit overwhelming but once your brain adjusts you almost forget you are watching 3D and just live the movie going experience.  As a one time Theater 3D movie viewing, I would say it is well worth the $12.50.  Its nice to see a far off made sequel satisfy my needs as a lover of the original.
